No one works harder than the Tortilla girl at Nuestra Cocina. It’s a spirit of hard work in the open kitchen; The Executive Chef was toiling away at the grill station while the Sous Chef did the expediting. Tortilla Girl pressed out and hand griddled small, delicious tortillas at a blinding speed.
Pine State Biscuits has opened up a small shop next to the Triple Nickel on SE Belmont and 36th. It had been a long while since I had visited Pine State down at the Park Blocks Farmers’ Market, but I remember them well.

They are open Tuesday-Sunday, starting at 11 am. I’m not sure how accurate that is, as most times I’ve walked by it’s been closed.

Tiny’s is my coffee shop. The gracious combination of palatable coffee, wifi, photocopies of the daily crossword puzzle and occasional eye-candy have me here on my days off more often than not. Today, I learned that i’ve earned another nickname.
